Granary Cottage & The Stables Cottage

We stayed at Granary Cottage over Christmas this year 2024. It couldn’t have been more magical with a lovely open fire. Jane/Kevin were so friendly and made everything perfect even down to the welcome pack waiting for us. We would highly recommend this cottage and would stay again . Thank you again Jane /Kevin.

Just spent a wonderful few days between Christmas and New years in this lovely Cottage. Great rural location for exploring North Yorkshire or just sitting in front of the fire with a book! Spotlessly clean, comfortable and well equipped. Would love to come back in the Summer and explore further.

We stayed in The Stables the second time. A high standard, lovely, tastefully decorated and very comfortable cottage. Run by the very nice hosts Jane and Kevin who made us feel welcome again. Nice patio and outdoor space with views on the surroundings and sheep. Very quiet location. Centrally located if you want to visit the Yorkshire Moors coastline and inland as well. We can definitely recommand a stay at The Stables.

Stayed in The Stables cottage with my two teenage sons during the second week of August and loved everything about it! Lots of outdoor space (including swingball and football net) next to patio area/bbq. Black out blinds in bedrooms so we all blissfully slept in. DVD player in open plan lounge/kitchen/diner. Within 30 mins drive to lots of different beaches/Alpamare Water Park/North Yorkshire Water Park and the moors. My boys said they liked the 'homeliness' of the accommodation (table lamps, comfy arm chairs and footstool) and the countryside views outside. I appreciated the extra touches to make the stay special - beautiful smelling hand-wash/lotion, room fragrance, tea lights by the bath. My bedroom felt like a spa retreat with the bath in the corner! Jane and Kevin have renovated the buildings beautifully and have thought about every detail. Thank you both for your hospitality during our stay - hope to see you again!
