We had a wonderful stay at the stables, Jane and Kevin are great hosts. Surrounded by lovely countryside and lots of places within easy reach of the cottage. The cottage has everything you could need and the beds were really comfy.
We’ve just had the best week at The Stables Cottage – absolutely beautiful! It was spotless, warm, and super cosy, especially with the log fire. The main bedroom had a really comfy king size bed and lovely en-suite bathroom. The other double bedroom and en-suite the same 👍🏻 This cottage had a large enclosed garden which was perfect for the dog too.
It’s nice and peaceful (we didn’t hear a single firework!), with gorgeous walks nearby, Dalby Forest about 20 minutes away, and North Yorkshire Water Park just down the road.
We also peeked at The Granary Cottage – just as lovely and all on one level. Couldn’t recommend these cottages enough – we’ve already booked to go back next year! ☺️

It’s comfortable and the hosts are amazing. Would highly recommend staying there. Had an amazing time and we will be back,had everything you need too. Cleanliness was 100% a very lovely cottage to stay.
Have had a lovely few days with mum at Granary Cottage. Great location, fantastic accommodation and brilliant hosts. I highly recommend!

We stayed at Granary Cottage over Christmas this year 2024. It couldn’t have been more magical with a lovely open fire. Jane/Kevin were so friendly and made everything perfect even down to the welcome pack waiting for us. We would highly recommend this cottage and would stay again . Thank you again Jane /Kevin.

Just spent a wonderful few days between Christmas and New years in this lovely Cottage. Great rural location for exploring North Yorkshire or just sitting in front of the fire with a book! Spotlessly clean, comfortable and well equipped. Would love to come back in the Summer and explore further.
