Views over Scarborough Bay watching the surfers

Did someone say ‘walkies’? You’re spoilt for choice with a range of walking trails along the coast, and acres of room to run around. Tackle the Cleveland Way’s 109 miles path, opt for a shorter route on The Cinder Track between Scarborough and Whitby, or take a leisurely stroll in one of the coast’s parks and gardens.

Just head straight for the likes of Hunmanby Gap, Cayton Bay, Runswick Bay and Staithes which are open to dogs year-round.

Planning a day out? Many of the coast’s well-known attractions are dog-friendly, including Whitby AbbeyFiley Bird and Garden Park and North Yorkshire Water Park, and dozens more places to visit with your furry friend.
