The perfect place for young explorers to let off steam, Skelf Island Adventure Playground is open every day. Navigate rope bridges, whizz down slides, discover ingenious treetop nests and don’t forget the zip wire.

On Saturday, 30th March, Mandy, Chloe and the team will host an Easter egg hunt and charity train rides on the miniature railway at Cedarbarn in Pickering.
Farmer Karl’s excited to get the train running again, having just been running it for a couple of hours on a Sunday. He said: “We’ve got a new train, The James Cook, for the 2024 season, so fingers crossed the weather will be kind and we’ll have a good, family-friendly day and a great Easter egg hunt .
The Easter egg hunt is suitable for children under seven and costs £3 per child and the train ride costs £2.50 and is suitable for both adults and children.
The 600m miniature railway track passes fruit fields, an orchard and farmland and helps to connect children with where their food comes from.

Keep your eyes peeled as you follow clues to make your way around the Parkland and Gardens this Easter, spotting the Springtime Easter features! See if you can spot Easter Eggs, Chicks, Bunnies and lots more as you’re led on a special adventure with your trail sheet in hand! When you’ve found them all don’t forget to return to the beginning to claim your prize!
Enjoy the whole day with us visiting the Rare Breed Farm Park, have a play in the adventure playground, have a spot of lunch in the Coach House Cafe and finish off with a browse around the shops. We offer free parking and dogs on leads are welcome.
